Sometimes life is so busy, so stressful, and so overwhelming that having a conversation with a 4-year-old is an absolute necessity.  Each of my children bring great joy to my life and my love for them is as unique and different as they are.  But, I honestly must say that I did not have the time or maturity to really enjoy my children in their younger years, until the third time around….and my youngest one is hilarious!  I thought you may enjoy hearing some of our random conversations.

“Momma, can I have a twin, pleeezzzeee?!”

“There’s Father’s Day and Mother’s Day.  When is ‘sister’ day?”

“Momma, I don’t know why they say you are ugly.  You’re not.  You’re beautiful!”  (as she cups my face in her hands).

“Momma, what do you want to be when you grow up?”

“When I grow up………I’m gonna be a big sister and sit wherever I want – with no car seat!”

“I don’t like strawberries.  They are too spicy.”

“Wow, Dad.  You look so ‘human’ today!”

As she sits down to hot dogs and french fries for dinner…. “Mom, is this an ‘elegant’ meal?”

“Is my birthday still in January?”
