Last year I got this great little book filled with quotes by Jim Rohn. I love this one:
“The worst days of those who enjoy what they do, are better than the best days of those who don’t”.
Did that make you smile?
If so, you’re probably doing what you love to do.
If this quote gave you a queasy feeling, then possibly you’re the person on the tail-end of that quote who is still wishing.
What is stopping you from doing exactly what you want to do? Really. What is stopping you?
We all have our lists. Fear. Obligation. Or maybe someone told you a long time ago that you couldn’t do it.
Possibly what’s stopping you is your imagination.
This week I’m creating my 2010. I’m paying close attention to my thoughts, realizing that what I believe about next year, will quite literally shape the rest of my life. If I’m scared, and buy into limiting thoughts, I could easily sabotage my dreams.
Kids go for what they want! I knew that by talking to Max and Kai that I would find inspiration – if not from the sheer humor, then from their ‘knowingness’ of what they can glean out of life.
When did we stop going for what we want? When did we stop offering ourselves love and encouragement along the way?
I love how the boys state their desires with pure conviction! It’s amazing that they understand fear as something we create in our minds. And how perfect that Kai suggests we ‘wear a helmet’ when we set out to try something new!
Yes, there will be falls, and possibly some injuries. We’ll need loving encouragement when times get tough. We’ll need to ‘block’ out the negativity and walk away from those who get us off track. But when you really BELIEVE in what you want, and stay focused on what it takes to get there, soon you’ll sprout the wings to fly.
Have a wonderful day,
Julie

Thank you for that quote Julie. I needed to hear that today. It was exactly what I was thinking. I love what I do and that makes getting up in the morning a whole lot easier.
I'm glad it resonated with you Tracy! We are certainly blessed to have tapped into our calling and living out our dreams.
