Mom Entrepreneur Event

By Mary | November 1, 2009

My business partner, Heather, and I are hosting a mom entrepreneur networking event in San Diego this Wednesday and I am continually heartened by the fact that women are wanting to help their family finances. Not that they aren’t concerned about money but, if they’re home taking care of the kids all day their work day is full, and without a paycheck.

Even though, the role of being a stay-at-home-mom is a full-time job in itself, women are frustrated and concerned about the future for themselves and their children. I read an article in Parade magazine that women across America are feeling “anxious” about family finances.

This is something I’ve heard women talk about for years. In my book, It’s All About You, Live the Life You Crave, (Simon & Schuster/2007) Heather and I devote a chapter to money and the role it plays in a marriage. There is The Money Talk, The Money Fight and the worst, The Money Divorce.

I also read that money is the number one subject couples fight over. I know most of us don’t want to admit that may be the case behind our closed doors but, the statistics prove otherwise.

MomsTown is here to help moms, single or not, to be an entrepreneur and help the family finances.

Have a fabulous week!

Mary
